Participants will learn:
- Symptoms of complex trauma and attachment woundings that may respond well to somatic interventions, correlating CPT codes
- Principles, research, and scope of practice for sensorimotor psychotherapy and sensory motor arousal and recovery treatment (modalities chosen by presenter training and experience)
- Interventions that can be offered to clients within their scope of general clinical practice and when to seek consultation/referral
- Presenter will offer participants a chance to “real play” a client (adapting client somatics, mannerisms, etc.) and demonstrate possible interventions in real time and offer a discussion on benefits of “trying on” a client’s somatic patterns and on clinical rationale for interventions
