  1. Participants will recognize symptoms of complex trauma that may benefit from somatic interventions
  2. Participants will explore their own experiences with somatic interventions if desired
  3. Participants will name somatic interventions within their scope of practice

Participants will learn:

  1. Symptoms of complex trauma and attachment woundings that may respond well to somatic interventions, correlating CPT codes
  2. Principles, research, and scope of practice for sensorimotor psychotherapy and sensory motor arousal and recovery treatment (modalities chosen by presenter training and experience)
  3. Interventions that can be offered to clients within their scope of general clinical practice and when to seek consultation/referral
  4. Presenter will offer participants a chance to “real play” a client (adapting client somatics, mannerisms, etc.) and demonstrate possible interventions in real time and offer a discussion on benefits of “trying on” a client’s somatic patterns and on clinical rationale for interventions
