Rachel is a Certified, Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga since 2018; Yoga Teacher, 200 hours with 500 hours+ teaching experience (E-CYT 200)
and did her Masters thesis on impact of yoga as an adjunctive treatment with incarcerated adolescents

Objectives

  1. Define agency and its’ potential importance in trauma
    treatment
  2. Define interoception and its’ potential importance in trauma treatment
  3. Recognize when clients may benefit from TCTSY and possible referral
    sources

Participants will learn the history of Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga
(TCTSY), current research findings on effectiveness of this model, and resources in this model for clients and clinicians. Core principles of this model and potential applications within scope of practice will be offered. Participants will be invited to engage in a short TCTSY practice.
